SMS Messaging Terms
Effective August 25, 2026
Sunday Run, operated by Slop Apps, LLC, runs a private pickup basketball game in New York City. Members may choose to receive text messages about the game. This page explains exactly what we send, how you opt in, and how you stop. Questions? Email hi@sundaypickup.com.
Program name and purpose
The program is called Sunday Run. It is an account-notification program for people who are already members of our private run. We send logistics for the weekly game. We do not send marketing, advertising, or promotional messages, and we do not text people who are not members.
Opting in is optional
Agreeing to receive text messages is never required. It is not a condition of signing up, of being approved, or of playing. You opt in by checking an unchecked box on our signup form, which reads:
I agree to receive recurring SMS messages from Sunday Run about runs, including weekly invites, RSVP confirmations, and cancellation notices. Message frequency varies (typically 1–3 per week). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
If you leave that box unchecked, you still get everything by email. Nothing else about your membership changes.
What we send
- The weekly invite, with a link to RSVP
- Confirmation that your RSVP was recorded
- Notice that a spot opened and you moved off the waitlist
- Notice that a run was cancelled
- Occasional reminders before game time
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies, typically one to three messages per week, tied to the weekly game. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Sunday Run does not charge you for text messages.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately. You will get one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after that. Reply HELP for assistance, or email hi@sundaypickup.com. Opting out of texts does not remove you from the run - you keep getting email.
Carriers and delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device.
Your phone number
We use your phone number only to send the messages described above. We do not sell or share it with third parties for their own marketing, and mobile opt-in data is never shared with third parties for any purpose other than delivering these messages. Our messaging provider transmits them on our behalf. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
